..I would like to express Baseball Canada's appreciation for the tireless efforts of those involved in the vision and formation of Team Ontario's programs. In bringing the concept of year-round training and development from a formative concept to its current reality, you have contributed immeasurably to the growth and realization of the talents and dreams of many outstanding young athletes from across the province.

Greg Hamilton
Head Coach & Director National Teams

…the instruction that Team Ontario gave me made me into a real baseball player. I would not be half the player I am today without your help. I always had the desire to win and the want to pitch big games and Team Ontario gave me the mechanical help and the stage to show off these skills.

The schedule of Team Ontario is a real busy one…from the Chicago Area Code Games to Memphis for the High School World Series the competition is something you cannot find anywhere. The place I learned the most was in Oklahoma where you play State teams from Arizona, Georgia, California, Oklahoma, Texas and Mississippi. These were the best players in their state and both years I went I learned something new that I needed to improve on.

Team Ontario gives you the platform and all you have to do is perform. We play the best of the best…so scouts are all over the place when we play. In Chicago we play in front of an average of a hundred scouts. I have never played in front of so many scouts in my life and it is nerve racking when there are around thirty radar guns going up at once behind the screen before a pitch. The scouts are there and all you have to do is show them your stuff and impress as many of them as possible.

…Team Ontario is the main reason I was able to obtain my scholarship to the University of Maine. I have grown as a baseball player in this program and I have also grown as a person with the players I have played with. Team Ontario is the best thing that ever happened to me as a baseball player and I will never forget the program. On the long road I took with the program, all of it was amazing and I would not want to change a thing. Thanks for everything thing you have done for me as a person and a player.

I live along way from Ontario and travel many, many miles a year around the world in my job as the Padres' International Supervisor. Ontario is a major source of talent with a limited season prior to the annual draft.

You have no idea what it means to me personally to have the opportunity to see many of Ontario's major players on one team and to welcomed as a professional scout to your games and workouts…something that doesn't happen everywhere in the game.
I'd like to take this time to thank you for your professional approach to coaching and in your approach to those of us who hang around to reap the rewards of your efforts.

Bill Clark
International Supervisor, San Diego Padres

I can honestly say, with 100% certainty, that I would not be in the position I am right now without Team Ontario. The program pushed me into what I would eventually become. The games, practices, coaches and the exposure cannot be compared to any other (program).

It was not just about baseball either! Because of the trips I went on I learned more about myself. It helped me handle myself better both on and off the field…I wouldn't give up my experience over the last couple of years for anything. The best baseball experience of my life!

I don't know what everyone's opinion of Team Ontario is, but our opinion is as follows.
We have been exposed to the organization for the past 3 or 4 years. In that time, they have proven to be one of the most high class organizations we have ever had at any of our events.
Team Ontario is extremely well managed and well coached. They have produced some outstanding talent, each and every year. This year's club is no different, they have a lot of talent.

If I were a college recruiter I would spend much time following this organization. Not only will I find quality players, but I will find quality people, who have learned how to play the game and know how to act.

They have several standouts! We look forward to seeing them again, in Jupiter.

The staff and coaches of Team Ontario are first class, the information and instruction they provide on each and every player is as good as any across the country. This Team is a must for any player who is truly serious about his baseball career, be it College, University or someday in a professional baseball uniform.

Team Ontario is designed for the serious baseball talent who wants to be showcased before the top scouts and coaches. Team Ontario is an opportunity for the "best of the best" to compete. The cost of the investment was far exceeded by the results and the experience.
Thanks, Marc Picard and his coaching staff. Our son went from being a good player in North Bay, Ontario to being recruited by many Division-1 schools as has been witnessed in the last few days with the numerous letters and phone calls from division-1 schools. The exposure he received by playing with Team Ontario has almost assured him an opportunity at a major university.

On behalf of the Atlanta Braves, I would like to wish Team Ontario the best of luck in 2001. Your program has certainly developed into one of the most respected in the country…Your players are always mentally and physically prepared and are a credit to your team, Ontario and ultimately Canada.

Jim Kane
Scout, Central Canada

Those are all fine programs, but I believe you have left off several who would belong in any poll. NorCal, Ohio Warhawks, Dulin Dodgers, Bill Hood, about four or five Texas teams, Encinitas Reds, Team Florida USA, Kansas City Monarchs, Ohio Thunder, Team Ontario, Colton Nighthawks, several Florida teams and more California teams. The list can go on for a long time.

Our son, Scott, has been involved with Team Ontario since the Fall of 1998. We were very apprehensive when he took his first trip to Georgia without us but soon discovered that our concerns were unfounded.

The baseball instruction and off-field discipline with Team Ontario is 'second to none'. When Scott comes home from a trip with Team Ontario, we know he has come back both as a better ball player and a better person.

The opportunities afforded these young men are tremendous. Having personally seen the competition in Oklahoma, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Illiniois, your eyes get opened quickly as to the great calibre of baseball players there are. In each on of these competitions, Team Ontario is very competitive, each one of our players has the opportunity to improve, and the compliments from the local people to both our play and discipline make us parents very proud.

Our son was fortunate enough to obtain a scholarship. The University coaches talked positively about the maturity Scott showed and the excellent training he had received. Much of that credit must go to Team Ontario's program and Marc Picard's Coaching Staff.

There are other elite programs in the province which we have seen in operation. We are very pleased Scott chose Team Ontario.
