2016 Team Ontario graduate Alex Mackinnon picked up his first professional win on Friday night for the San Rafael Pacifics.

The 6-foot-4, 215-pound right-hander came out of the bullpen and finished the game for Pacifics, pitching 3.1 innings and allowing just one hit, one walk, one run and racking up six punch outs. San Rafael took the game 7-5 against the Santa Cruz Seawood.

The Pacifics are an independent league team playing out of the Pecos League. The league is comprised of 16 teams with half of them coming from California while the others are spread out between New Mexico, Texas, Arizona, Colorado and Kansas.

Mackinnon spent the past five years at Division I Niagara University where he was a major part of Purple Eagles bullpen starting in his freshman year where he tossed 36 innings.
