Finn Walker signs with Marian University

by Jason Booth

“I wouldn’t have had this opportunity without Team O” 17-year-old shortstop, Finn

Walker, told us in response to signing with Marian University.

Ready to take the next step in his athletic journey, Walker will be graduating from the

Team Ontario program and joining the NCAA III program in Indianapolis IN. While

studying in a dual degree program in math and engineering at Marian University &

Purdue University, he will hit the field as a Marian Knight.

The Knights are coming off a 500 season and are well-positioned to make a leap in

conference play next season. Having had a vastly improved offence this season, setting

six new offensive records and having 5 conference all-stars last season, we are looking

forward to seeing what comes next season.

Walker came to Team Ontario after showing talent as an OBA Player. Having played for

a variety of different teams and in different environments, he was excited about the

opportunities for success. Walker told us that it was Team Ontario that got him to this

point.

“I am excited to start the next phase of my athletic and academic pursuits, and will

always be thankful for giving me a chance to showcase my skills” acknowledged Walker.

“Team O prepares players for college baseball in the way they run practices, instill

discipline and foster a commitment to play at the next level.” Through this program,

players are kept on track to reach their potential.

Walker wants future players to be excited about the opportunity at Team Ontario, because

of the strong team culture, and the challenges are given to players to showcase their skills.

“Don’t give up the best opportunity can present itself at any moment. I wouldn’t have had

this opportunity without Team O”.
