The Canadian Premier Baseball League (CPBL) announced their invitees for the second annual CPBL All-Star Showcase Tryouts and five Team Ontario players saw their names included.

RHP Frank-Anthony Caietta, RHP Julian Robertson, LHP/OF Matt Marsh, INF David King and 1B J.P. Tibbits will all be representing Team Ontario this weekend. MLB scouts and league evaluators helped in selected 80+ players to attend the tryouts.

The tryouts take place this Saturday in Dorchester at the Field of Dreams with position players reporting at 9:30 a.m. and pitchers reporting at 1:30 p.m.

The second annual CPBL All-Star Showcase is slated for the weekend of September 24 - 26, also at the Field of Dreams in Dorchester. Last year's CPBL All-Star Showcase featured three players who went on be drafted this year with all three of them signing pro contracts as well.

This year's attendees will have the added benefit of profiles creations in the CPBL's Prospect Vault’s database, where their metrics from the event will be located.

Best of luck to our five players at tryouts this weekend!
