Gonsalves commits to the University of St. Francis

2022 infielder Xavier Gonsalves has announced his commitment to the University of St. Francis, an NAIA program in Fort Wayne, Indiana.

The Cougars baseball team competes in the Crossroads League with nine other collegiate programs and currently sits in second place with a conference record of 4-2 and overall record of 14-6. 

The University of St. Francis will offer Gonsalves the chance to continue progressing on the baseball field, as well as in the classroom where he's excelled throughout high school in both of those areas.

His athleticism is evident in with everything he does on the baseball field and his speed plays a huge part in his impact on the diamond. It's been exciting to watch him continue to grow over the years and continue developing with the goal of playing baseball at the university level. 

Not only has he made big strides in his performance during his time with Team Ontario but his energy at the facility and on the field is contagious. He's an A+ teammate and will have no issues heading into Fort Wayne to join a team that is made up primarily of players from Indiana.
