Jack Larmer commits to Wilfrid Laurier University

by Jason Booth

18U infielder/right-handed pitcher Jack Larmer has announced his commitment to Wilfrid Laurier University, an OUA program in Waterloo, Ontario.

Wilfrid Laurier has been as dominant a program as any over the past several OUA seasons, claiming the past two provincial championships that were handed out (2018, 2019). In 2019 Laurier also went on a deep playoff run at the Canadian University National Invitational when they lost in the championship game 2-1 to Guelph.

Larmer has worked extremely hard over the past year despite many of the challenges presented due to the pandemic so the organization is happy to see that dedication paying off.

The Golden Hawks program closed out the 2019 season with a 33-7 record and they head into the 2021 season as one of the favourites to continue making noise at the OUA level. Larmer's versatility and bat will be key to his success at the collegiate level as he looks to make his mark at Laurier over the next four years.

We wish Jack the best of luck in his next baseball adventure and we look forward to following his post-secondary career.
