Kaedan Thompson commits to Southwestern CC

by Jason Booth

18U second baseman/shortstop Kaedan Thompson has announced his commitment to Southwestern Community College, a Division I NJCAA program in Creston, Iowa.

The Southwestern Spartans compete in one of the top junior college conferences, the Iowa Community College Athletic Conference (ICCAC) which typically has multiple teams in the national rankings.

"I chose Southwestern because I think their program was the best option for me because they can help me elevate myself, both on and off the field," explains Thompson. "Team Ontario was huge in helping me achieve my goal of playing in the U.S. because the first day I came to the program they were helping me get better as a player and they helped me get recruited by a school that can help me reach my full potential."

Thompson is a player who came into the organization with a ton of skill and he continued to push himself to further improve and take his game to the next level. His tools play in every aspect of the game and we're confident he will head to Iowa prepared to compete for a spot in the Spartans lineup.

The middle infielder from Brampton joins a program with a rich history of recruiting Canadians into their program.

Team Ontario is extremely excited for this opportunity for Kaedan to move onto the college level and look forward to following all of his successes south of the border.

His hard work has led him to this point and we wish him nothing but the best!
