Murciano Commits to Sussex County College in New Jersey

by Jason Booth

Team Ontario catcher Noah Murciano has committed to Sussex County College in Newton, New Jersey. Noah has been catcher in our program for 3 years now and had worked with some of our winter instructors and coaches as well prior to joining Team Ontario.

Noah is a great example of a hard working player wanting to get better. He has put lots of time and effort into his development with our coaching staff. He has pushed himself over 3 years and has developed into a US college catcher. Noah's ability really shined at this year at PBR's New Year’s showcase event where he showed a 1.9 pop to 2nd and 86 mph exit velocity. Noah earned the top pop time of the event (1.9) the only catcher with a sub 2 pop time, while also earning a top three finish in positional catcher velocity.

Noah was behind the plate helping lead pitching staffs on the 2018 16u team that had a great run finishing just short with 2nd place finish at Perfect Game Columbus. Being short a catcher that weekend Noah grinded out all but 2 innings of the tournament behind the plate in the blazing heat and earning him self All Tournament Team Honors.

We wish Noah the best in his academic and athletic career as he heads south of the border this coming August.
