Nyberg commits to Sussex County CC

Team Ontario 2022 left-hander pitcher Jax Nyberg has announced his commitment to Sussex County Community College, a Division II NJCAA program in Newton, New Jersey.

Nyberg jumped onto the scene last summer after joining Team Ontario's 16U squad and stepping in as one of their most productive pitchers down the stretch. The 6-foot-4, 205-pound lefty was also an important piece of our Orange College Prep Team this past fall, including a strong showing during our fall tour against college programs.

The Skylanders program boasted a pair of Team Ontario alumni during the 2021 season with former Team O catcher Noah Murciano and former Team O infielder Jamie Cabral. The program does an excellent job of placing players at four-year schools once their time is up in New Jersey and we saw that with Murciano who now suits up for Division I Coppin State University. 

There's plenty left in the tank for Nyberg and the entire program looks forward to following his two seasons with the Sussex County CC Skylanders.
