TEAM O ALUM: LHP Marsh Dominant to start 2024 Season

With college baseball well underway, Canadian players have been representing very well across the United States. Team Ontario deployed a chunk of talent to various schools ranging from NCAA, NJCAA, and NAIA.

A standout performer thus far, southpaw Matt Marsh has been dominant on the bump of Park Hills, Missouri. Marsh has been dealing for Mineral Area College. With a 1-1 record for the lefty, he’s pitched 19 innings over one start and 3 additional appearances. He’s posted a 2.37 ERA with a whopping 20 strikeouts. He’s only allowed seven runs on 11 hits, two of those runs being unearned. He has a 1.21 WHIP and a 9.47 strikeout per gate rate. His batting average against is a .196 alongside a 20-12 strikeout to walk ratio. Marsh’s metrics are shining as well. His fastball velocity has been up to 93mph.  Matt Marsh is draft eligible and his metrics and outings will hold value as the season moves forward. 

Mineral Area College is a Region 16 school in the NJCAA division 1. They were conference champions in the 2021-2022 season going 31-18 overall and 17-5 in conference.
