Team Ontario Baseball adds NCAA D1 Outfielder and Team O Alumni Nathan Dallas Blackburn
Team Ontario Baseball is pleased to announce the addition of Nathan Dallas Blackburn to the coaching staff as an outfielder and hitting instructor. Blackburn is Team Ontario grad and alumni of 2015 earning a scholarship to NCAA D1 Arkansas Pine Bluff. He then transferred to NCAA D1 Maryland Eastern Shore in 2017 where he played an entire season of errorless baseball. Blackburn also received academic Honors at both schools.
With Team O, Blackburn hit .431 in his senior year. He credits the exposure and competition he received in league play and major U.S. Tournaments with Team O for his opportunity to play NCAA baseball.
"It great to see alumni returning to the program and taking what they learned from Team O and College experiences and sharing that with the next generation." Director of Baseball Jason Booth commented, "He (Blackburn) was always and continues to be a very hard worker on and off the field and will a great role model for our current and future players".
Blackburn attend Everest high school (sports specific high school) in Vaughan. Here he received daily training from Rich Russell (Team O Alumni and hitting coach and former NCAA D1 player at Marshall U) and Chris Begg former Professional Pitcher AAA Pitcher in the San Francisco Giants organization.
