Team Ontario July 31/Aug. 1 Top Performers

The summer schedule now enters it's second half as the calendar flipped to August on Sunday and there was multiple teams across the organization who entered the second half on a high-note. The 14U Orange squad swept a doubleheader against a strong Great Lakes Canadians team while the 15U's swept a three-game set against the Toronto Mets, outscoring them 35-15.

On an individual note, the 16U team had multiple high-end arms that helped lead the way to three victories. Robert Watters struck out 12 this week in six innings, Frank-Anthony Caietta pitched a complete game (five innings) shutout and Luca Karanopoulos allowed just one run over eight innings with nine punchouts.

Offensively, Julian Cancian (16U) led the organization with eight hits and added three doubles. Haydn Hilliard (17U), David DeStefano (16U) and Bradley Stoner (15U) each left the yard this weekend as well. 

Aside from Cancian, Charlie Hughes (15U) and Alex DiGiacinto (16U) each racked up six hits this week.
